My Christmas Traditions!

I am very, very exited for winter break coming up in a few days! I celebrate Christmas and I have a lot of fun traditions that go with that holiday. My first tradition is going to a Christmas tree farm to cut down our own Christmas tree. I love going out in the wilderness to cut down our own tree rather than just going to the store to get one. My second tradition is having a cookie bake with all of my cousins. I love baking, decorating and eating these delicious cookies. I also always love spending time with my cousins. My third tradition is baking sugar cookies with my mom. Me and her always love making these cookies from scratch. We have been making the same kind for as long as I can remember.

My fourth tradition is me and my family going to the mall together and shopping for Christmas presents for my mom and dad. After we shop we always have dinner in a fancy restaurant. My fifth and final tradition is having Christmas eve dinner at a fancy restaurant as a family. We always have a great time there and it really gets us in the Christmas spirit. Those are all my holiday traditions and I can’t wait to finish all of them! Happy holidays!

An Open Letter to Ella the middle school student

Dear Ella,

Thank you for believing in me. Most people don’t believe in me because they think magic isn’t real or they are afraid of what other people would think of them if they say they like unicorns. It is sad how some kids grow up too fast and just over look us as an animal. It makes me feel like I am listing to my favorite song when kids say “I believe in you”. I am happy that I lifted your spirit,in the unicorn society lifting kids’ spirits is like watching you favorite movie. We want all of you kids to believe in what YOU believe in and not what is cool or what everybody else says. Without kids like you ,Ella, that believe in us we would not have the power to lift kids spirits anymore. In fact some of my unicorn friends don’t believe in humans. They are all just trying to be cool and fit in but I believe in humans because just if you don’t see or touch it doesn’t mean it is not real. Well Ella, I hope you just keep believing no matter what anyone says to you.

Truly Yours,

Lainie the Unicorn
